PLR Pratfalls
Hang around the "Internet Marketing" crowd for very long, and
they'll sing the praises of PLR articles - mostly because they want you to buy them from them! What they
don't tell you is the nasty truth about them that will come back to bite you bad.
See, PLR articles are fatal on more than one count. About all they
are good for is to read over, say, "I could do better than that", and then get tossed in the trash while you
do just that.
They are invariably accurate - the information in them is
indisputable, uncontroversial, completely unoriginal, and totally characterless. They aren't even vanilla.
Their lack of character means that they have nothing to offer a reader that they have not already found a
dozen other places. They will lend nothing useful to a site.
You cannot use them for article marketing. You'll be banned from
the directory that you try to submit it to. PLR articles are so easily recognizable, that directories will
delete them on sight.
There are "mix and mash" software programs that are supposed to
alter them, but they really don't - at least, not in any useful way! No computer can use language like a
person can, and after running an article through a software program that is supposed to alter it, it ends up
being unusable by any intelligent being. Certainly they'd not be usable for article submissions, and no
visitor would ever return to your site after trying to read such a worthless excuse for
writing..
Worse than all that, is the fact that you cannot possibly know who
wrote them in the first place. If you put your name on someone else's writing, and that writing happens to
have been copied in the first place, you may set yourself up for a lawsuit.
