Article Site Builder Details
This software is a complete php script to install on your server, that builds an article site from your template, by searching categories on two article databases online.
This software requires that you edit HTML templates, and that you be able to edit php code. Don't worry though, we have provided complete instructions to do so.
We bought this package, installed and used it, and rewrote the instructions, and added more instructions to make it easier to use. While it is not the premium software of this type on the market, it does do an adequate job to get started building fast article sites. If it was not actually usable, we'd not be selling it here.
The software requires a server that supports PHP 4.0 or better, with a MySQL database available. The hosting listed at the bottom of this page will support this quite well.
Setting up this package is actually very simple. In fact, I was surprised how easy it was, considering that the instructions were VERY badly written, and left a lot up to guesswork. You won't have to worry about that though, because I filled in the gaps, and created instructions that will actually help you know exactly how to do it.
This package runs from your server, so you can install it, run it, and then go back to work on your computer until it finishes the search. You can either use the site it generates as-is, or you can sort the articles and tweak the site for a higher quality result. To do that, you'll have to download the articles to your computer - it just takes a minute or two with fast internet, or about 5 minutes with dial-up.
This package is NOT perfect. It is limited to searching just two article databases, and it will only search by category, not by keyword. It will build one site at a time, and if you tell it to build another in the same folder as the previous one, it will overwrite the index files from the existing site. You can either move the files, or simply create a new folder, give it write privileges, and set the program to put the new site into the new folder.
In spite of the few limitations it has, it is still a whole lot faster than doing it yourself! It has a few other minor annoyances, but considering the price and that the price includes resale rights, it is well worth what we are asking for it. And you won't get our improved instructions for this anywhere else.
We did search for alternatives for this package, but were unable to find anything else that we could offer resale rights on, and we did want to be able to pass that benefit on to our customers. The real value of it depends on whether you want a product to prop up resale rights, or whether you want a product that is actually meant to be used. We priced it and evaluated it based on its function, and would not have listed it here if we did not feel that it can be genuinely useful for people even without the resale rights. And all the alternatives that did anything close to this were selling for just under $100, without any resale rights of any kind.
You get the entire package, along with Resale Rights. You can even customize the package if you like, and target it to a specific niche. This product used to sell for hundreds, but the value has declined as the market has become more saturated with people offering it. This particular version still has value that other versions do not though, because we have enhanced it with ease of use instructions and other little improvements. We are not just selling this to sell a product, we are selling it to be used.
